Last weekend was yet another successful one for the Lady Lynx. Winning both games keeps them at the top of their league.

Lincoln had a strong start against Needles. The Mustangs played tough defense but Lincoln was tougher. Lincoln only scored 9 points in the first quarter, however, they managed to keep Needles at one point from a foul shot.

The second quarter, the Lynx moves a lot slower and defense got sloppy. They let Needles shoot ahead and by the end of the half Lincoln is down, 13-15.

The Lady Lynx come back from halftime ready to play. They don’t hold back and score 15 points compared to Needles 5 points.

The 4th quarter continued as the previous one did. Except Needles was able to score a few points more. Lincoln won 42-29.

Brynlee Wadsworth had 15 points. Sadie Soderborg had 11.

The Lady Lynx traveled the extra hour to Laughlin that night and played them the next morning.

Lincoln played their game the whole time. They secured their lead in the first quarter with a 20-1 advantage. Scoring another 20 points in the second quarter made for a fun game to switch things up and get everyone lots of playing time. A break after the intense Needles game, the Lady Lynx took an easy 51-18 win over the Cougars.

This weekend, Lincoln (20-3 overall, 14-0 league) has its final games before the postseason with a big one at home against Democracy Prep (15-4, 13-1) at 4:30 pm today and Laughlin (0-16, 0-15) tomorrow at 2:30 p.m.
