The Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) investigated a two-vehicle accident the afternoon of July 23 at the south entrance to the rest area on U.S. 93 between Upper and Lower Pahranagat Lakes.
NHP, the sheriff’s department, and Pahranagat Fire and Rescue and Ambulance responded.
Sergeant Guy Davis reported a southbound vehicle attempted to make a sudden left turn into the rest area and collided with an oncoming northbound vehicle.
Davis said the northbound vehicle was forced over the side of the embankment on the east side of the highway and rolled over, but none of the occupants suffered major injuries. They were treated at the scene and released. The same was reported for occupants of the southbound vehicle.
Information was not fully complete and Davis did not have any names, places of residence, or how many persons were involved in the accident.
