The Lincoln County School District made the following announcement on Oct. 7.
“Unfortunately our community has experienced a tragic event over the weekend with the death of a middle school student. We express sympathy to those impacted.”
Crisis intervention counselors are at Meadow Valley Middle School, Pioche Elementary School, and Lincoln County High School to visit with students, staff, or parents to help them through this difficult time.
Additional help is available through Lincoln Counseling and Supportive Services. A crisis hotline is available for anyone in mental or emotional distress. This is available at any time and can be accessed by calling the Counseling and Supportive Services office directly at (775) 962-8089.
