The Lincoln County High School wrestling team had their first match last on Nov. 30 in Panguitch, Utah.

Senior Kyle Zierow won three of his matches and lost five, and Junior Trevin Perkins went undefeated throughout the whole tournament, placing first. The rest of the team did well with Chance Christensen winning three of his seven matches. Jordan Free had four wins out of his six.

The team also traveled to Moapa on Nov. 4 for a duel. Freshman wrestlers Seth Patrick and Auston Marshall got their first wins of the season.

Kyle Zierow and Bridger Poulsen lost both of their matches and the rest of the team members won one of their two matches.

“I think we all have the potential to make it to state,” Zierow said. “We are making big improvements in practices and during matches.”

The team’s next game will be Saturday, Dec. 8, in Parowan.
