Pahranagat Valley took part in the Moapa Duals in Overton, Dec. 4.

Suiting just five wrestlers, the Panthers did well.

Hagen Harris (106) won his only match as the other teams apparently did not have someone in his weight class.

Jesse Jones (145) was 2-1, winning both his matches at 145 pounds. Jones then stepped up to 152 pounds and lost that match.

Freshman Jake Griffin (182) showed real promise in his matches despite losing both times to upperclassmen.

Davin Minick (145) was 1-1, Tayt Leavitt (220) was 2-0, and teammate Jon Michael Stewart (285) was 2-1.

This week, the team participates in the large scale Parowan tournament in Parowan, Utah, Dec. 8, followed by the even larger Desert Storm tournament at Dixie High School in St. George, Utah, Dec. 14-15.

Pahranagat Valley will have their own tournament later in the season when they host the Panther Invitational, Jan. 11, featuring Moapa Valley, Lincoln County, Lake Mead, Indian Springs, and Sunrise Mountain.
