The Pahranagat Valley Fire District met Nov. 20.
Ryan Rhodes, the ambulance coordinator, reported that everything is going well. Rhodes discussed possible dates with the board for the Christmas party and agreed to talk to the new owner of the Windmill Ridge for a location.
Lonny Walch suggested Monday, Dec. 17, at 6:30 p.m., and everyone agreed on the date and time.
Rhodes will pick up all of the door prizes for the party. If people would like to bring a gift, the district will do a gift exchange as well.
The district will plan for 50-60 people. Andrea Jorgensen will do an invite as soon as there is confirmation from the Windmill. The district will also ask if they can have chicken and tri-tip steak for food.
In the fire chief report, training is going well. Eleven people showed up for rappelling training. Using money from a grant, the district had a radio installed on the new ambulance and the other new radios are here and ready to use.
In the ambulance report, the board motioned to table the write-offs until next month. Steve Meldrum asked if the board could check again with the hospital regarding the transfers discussion.
