The Lincoln County High School wrestling team attended the Ely Lions tournament on Dec. 20 in Ely.

Senior Kyle Zierow did well, bringing home two wins and only one loss. Sophomore Hagen Boyce had one win and two losses, and sophomore Bridger Poulsen lost his three matches, as did Ayden Miller.

Sophomore Jordan Free won all of his matches, and sophomore Auston Marshall came home with one win and two losses. Another sophomore, Gavin Plasden, lost both of his matches, and freshman Seth Patrick did as well.

Junior Trevin Perkins is still out due to an injury.

As team captain this year, Perkins said, “I think we are going to have a great season. We have a good schedule with lots of tough tournaments that will help to prepare our team for regionals and state. I expect us to do really well this year.”

Their next tournament will be Saturday, Jan. 5, at the Milford Wrestling Tournament.
