On Dec. 21, Caliente VFW Post 7114 brought Santa to visit Grover C. Dils’ long-term residents. While Santa was greeting the residents, the Grinch snuck in, trying to steal their gifts. To his disappointment, Lincoln County Sheriff Sergeant Chase Dirks was on hand and arrested him. As the culprit was escorted out, residents’ gifts were returned, and the fun continued.
