After a countdown of three, two, one, the students at Caliente Elementary tore the wrapping paper from the boxes set before them. They wore big smiles on their faces as they displayed their presents to one another, the shoes within each box seeming to match the personalities of individual children.

After a countdown of three, two, one, the students at Caliente Elementary tore the wrapping paper from the boxes set before them. They wore big smiles on their faces as they displayed their presents to one another, the shoes within each box seeming to match the personalities of individual children.

This was the result of Community Cares Day in September, when Bob Ellis sent people to measure the feet of 425 Lincoln County students. Appropriately-sized shoes were then delivered to each of the county schools.
