Echo Canyon State Park is hosting the first hike of the year on Jan. 19 at 10 a.m.
Hikers will meet at the group area located in the south campground for a nice two-mile hike around the reservoir. . The hike is free. However, the park entrance fee is $5 per vehicle.
Please remember to dress warmly, wear good shoes for hiking and bring plenty of drinking water, as the trail is a little more than 2 miles. This is a family- and pet-friendly hike and is on fairly flat ground. Everyone will walk at their own pace, so no matter your skill level, come on out and beat those winter blues.
