Seven Lincoln County High School wrestlers competed in the state tournament last weekend. The team did well, with sophomore wrestlers Jordan Free and Auston Marshall both placing in their weight classes.

Free wrestled in the 126-pound weight class, winning two of his three matches for second place. Marshall took third, winning two matches and only losing one in the 132 weight class.

Senior Kyle Zierow wrestled in the 145-pound weight class. He won one match and lost two, as did junior Trevin Perkins, wrestling in the 160.

Sophomore Hagen Boyce wrestled in the 138 weight class and won one of his three matches. Another sophomore, Bridger Poulsen, lost both of his matches in the 152 weight class. Seth Patrick, a freshman, wrestled in the 285 weight class and ended up losing both of his matches.

The team did well this year and is hoping to work hard in the off season and improve even more for next year.
