Leticia E. Gamez passed away peacefully on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mountain View Medical Center surrounded by loved ones. Leticia was born on September 12, 1964 in Preston, Idaho to Jose and Virginia Gamez.
Leticia grew up in Tooele, Ut where she had many friends and was involved in the drill team and later graduated from Tooele High School. She started her profession as a flight attendant and the later graduated from the Salt Lake City Police Academy. Life later took her to Elko, Nevada where she lived for many years and where she raised her two children, Marcos and Erica.
After her kids were grown she moved away to Panaca, Nevada where she helped care for her parents. For those who knew Leticia, her spirit was contagious. All her were around her know she was always laughing, smiling and cracking jokes. She loved crafting, cooking, and spending time with her loved ones and her favorite dog, Hummer.
She is survived by her parents: Jose and Virginia; her two children: Marcos (Brittany) and Erika (Andrea); her siblings Raquel (John), Elisio (Cecelia), Dean, Carson; her beloved grandchildren: Sara, Shaylynn, Colton, Alba, and Brianna; and her nephew Mario and her niece Tina (Jesus) and their kids. She also had many wonderful friends who she enjoyed spending time with.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 1 p.m. at the Berean Baptist Church in Pioche where Leticia attended service. The Celebration of Life Service will be given by Lonnie Campbell from Sunset, UT.
