
John was born June 30, 1950 to Guila and Henry Grant Wilcock of Pioche, Nevada. John passed away peacefully on March 3, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. John attended Caliente and Pioche grade schools then graduated from Lincoln County High School in 1968.
John went on a Mission to Central (Missouri) State. He spent a year at UNLV taking a course in Law Enforcement. He then went to work in Salt Lake City, Utah in the Fire Alarm Sprinkler Industry where he met the love of his life Teresa Hampton of American Fork in 1975. Together they have three children, Amy June (Scott) Lamoreaux, Lola Dawn Wilcock, both of Alabaster, AL., and Jason (Ashley) Wilcock of Las Vegas, NV.
John was Papa to ten grandchildren: Schelbi, Charlotte, Tyler, Cheylo, Robyn, Justin, Sophia, Soren, Anson, and Adler, and his great-grandson Declan John due in July.
After moving back to his hometown of Pioche, NV, He worked for the Nevada Dept. of Corrections and then retired from the Lincoln County Sheriff?s Office.
John is survived by his wife Teresa, his sisters, Jacquie (Gene) Pickens, Rosalee (David) Joseph, and Helen Palma. He is preceded in death by his father Henry Grant, Mother Guila and two sisters. Services will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019, 3 p.m. at the Pioche LDS Church.
