Lincoln County High baseball played their first home and league game on March 19, defeating Adelson High School.
Lincoln had a strong start in the first inning with three runs. Adelson answered with one in the bottom of their first, their only run of the game. Lincoln scored another run in the second, and eight more in the third. They sealed the 17-1 win with another five runs in the fourth.
Talon Phillips threw a no-hitter with one unearned run and had eight strikeouts.
In the second game, Lincoln had another strong start again with Mason Thornock pitching. With all 12 runs earned in the first three innings, the game was up for a quick finish. Lincoln won 12-0.
Senior Kobe Walker said, “Mason and Talon pitched some great games. We hit really well, and McKinley’s got warning track power. We are super pumped for the season and planning on the four-peat.”
March 20, the boys played at home against Parowan. On March 22, they play Mountain View at home at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
