Champion Award
Courtesy Photo County Commission chair Varlin Higbee received the Transportation Champion Award from Lee Bonner, an official with the Las Vegas office of the Nevada Department of Transportation. Bonner said NDOT is recognizing a transportation champion in each of the rural counties in their district. Higbee spent 30 years as an NDOT employee before retiring.
