The Lincoln County High School boys basketball faced off against various teams during the Bulldog Invitational in Mesquite Dec. 12-14.
Starting with their first game, it seemed like the Lynx would hold their own in the tournament as they were able to finish off the Moapa Valley Pirates 60-50.
The leading scorers were Kobe Kelley and Cody Zile, both scoring 17 points. Dylan Robinson had 14 points, including four three-pointers. Zile pulled down 10 rebounds, while Talon Phillips and Kobe Kelley each had eight.
The next day saw a much different game out of the Lynx. This time they faced the Kanab Cowboys, and their winning streak came to an end. The Lynx had a much smaller team than the Cowboys, leading to Lincoln’s first loss of the tournament, 63-48. Kelley had 17 points and 10 rebounds in the defeat.
The final day saw the team face the Sierra Vista Mountain Lions for third place in the tournament. The Lynx kept it close but lost 62-57. Zile had 17 points and seven rebounds.
