The Lincoln County Lynx Girls Basketball team played their second tournament of the season Dec. 12-14 in Mesquite. Coming off a win against White Pine, the Lady Lynx were prepared to give the games their all, but to their chagrin, so did their opponents.

Starting off Dec. 12, the Lynx faced off against the Virgin Valley Bulldogs, the hosts of the tournament. Though Lincoln came out swinging, the Bulldogs were ready, and while the Lynx were able to outscore them in the second and fourth quarters, the Bulldogs widened the gap sufficiently in the third quarter that it spelled the end of Lincoln County’s lead. The game ended with a score of 47-43.

The next day, Lincoln County played the Wasatch Wasps. The Lynx pushed hard, but they were outscored in every quarter, ultimately losing the game 46-30.

On Saturday, the Enterprise Wolves handed the Lynx their final defeat of the tournament with a score of 48-39. The Lynx outscored them in the final two quarters, but lost due to a poor performance in the first half of the game.

Their next game will be against the Pahranagat Valley Panthers Dec. 19 and the team plays at Mountain View Christian on Dec. 20.
