The Motorcycle Racing Association of Nevada’s Silver State Trail Blazers hosted round five of the AMA National Hare and Hound Championship series, the Muley Run, Sept. 14 in Caliente. The series is held in California, Idaho, Utah and Nevada. This race brought several hundred riders and spectators from all over the United States and abroad to Caliente.
This year the National Hare & Hound Association celebrated 11 years of promoting the last true all-terrain desert series in North America.
The Muley Run featured an outstanding bomb start, a bit of a less technical but tough course and stunning wide open spaces with lots of water.
The race featured the following categories: Novice, Amateurs, ATVs, Pros, Peewees, Junior Mini, Micro Mini, Big Wheels,Girls, Women, Moms, Seniors, Super Seniors, Sportsmen,Veterans, Masters, Trophy and Pioneers.
The Muley Run was a motorcycle-only event that required a national number unless the racer was a member of MRAN and had a locally approved number.
