The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) announced the return of “Tip a Cop” and “Cops 4 Kids” (formerly known as Shop with a Cop).
Cops 4 Kids is a new program that will benefit all children in our communities. The goal is to continue to assist children and families in need during Christmas time who may have fallen on hard times or have encountered an illness or hardship.
Cops 4 Kids will also support all school kids with unique interactions such as gifts, giveaways, movies, pizza parties, Donuts with Cops, and other events throughout the year. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office feels it’s important to interact and gain a trusting relationship with our youth and citizens in all our communities.
All funding is through donations, “and we as a department will work hard to earn your donations and pass along the benefits to local kids through various events held throughout the year,” the sheriff’s office stated. “This also allows us to keep a lot of our spending local and support our local businesses, which is important.”
The community is invited to Tip a Cop on Friday, Nov. 15 beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Side Track in Caliente. All tips and donations go directly to the Cops 4 Kids fund.
Individuals and businesses who would like to donate or be a sponsor of Cops 4 Kids, please contact Undersheriff Darrin Woodworth at dwoodworth@lincolncountynv.gov or Sheriff Derek Foremaster at dforemaster@lincolncountynv.gov
Those who donate $200 or more will have their name or business placed on a banner that will be displayed at all LCSO events, as well as a plaque to be displayed in the sheriff’s office lobby. The deadline for banner sponsorship ends January 31, 2025.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is grateful for those who have supported its programs in the past and continue to do so in the future.
“Our entire staff wishes everyone a safe, prosperous and happy holiday season.”
