Everyone is invited to Pahranagat Valley’s chili and cornbread cook-off on Nov. 2 at 6 p.m. put on by the Purple Sage Ward.
In keeping this nearly three-year tradition alive, head down to the Church Pavilion with a pot of chili and/or a pan of cornbread to share with neighbors and be judged. There will be first, second and third-place prizes for chili and cornbread, along with an honorable mention award to the chili and cornbread master. Contestants will receive commemorative spoons, and all families in attendance will receive a spoon while supplies last.
Don’t feel excluded if making chili or cornbread is not your forte…maybe eating it is. Judges are needed for this event. To volunteer, reach out to Mike Ray at (775) 296-2900.
