The state cross-country meet held in Boulder City on Nov. 2 showcased not only athletic prowess but also the spirit of sportsmanship. Amidst the competitive atmosphere, a heartwarming moment unfolded involving local runners from Lincoln County.

As the runners gathered for the start of the race, the Lincoln County girls team, known for their pre-race prayer tradition, extended an invitation to three other runners from different schools who were competing solo. The girls, recognizing the camaraderie and support that can be found even among rivals, joined the Lincoln County team in prayer.
