On Dec. 19 the Pahranagat Valley Panthers girls basketball team took on the Wells Leopards in an intense matchup in Alamo. 

Wells pulled ahead in the first quarter, 8-2. Hadee Walch started the second quarter off strong for the Panthers with a three-point, as the Lady Panthers rallied to within a point, 14-13 at halftime. Pahranagat Valley came out strong in the third quarter, taking a 25-17 lead. The energy increased during the final period with the crowds screaming and cheering for their side, with Wells’ offense coming to life to rally for the win, 40-37. 

The Lady Panthers played next at a tournament in Beaver Dam on Dec. 20 and 21. In the first game, they lost to Escalante 22-17. The second game was played against Amplus Academy which is a 4A team out of Las Vegas. The Lady Panthers won that game 25-10. The last game of the tournament was a win over Lund, 34-12

The Lady Panthers play next on Saturday, Jan. 4 in Alamo against Tonopah.
