Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) released two upcoming events for locals to participate in, inviting the community to learn more about local wildlife. 

Pahranagat Valley NWR, in conjunction with Moapa Valley NWR, is inviting the public to the Warm Springs Natural Area for a free guided tour held on Jan. 11. The tour will begin at 10 a.m. and will be roughly two hours long. Parking and the tour will begin at Moapa Valley NWR. Interested guests are encouraged to sign up at the visitor log binder or public use entrance kiosk.

“Jeop-Birdy,” a bird-based trivia game dedicated to identifying different fowl in the area, will be held on Jan. 24. Guests are invited to play Jeop-Birdy and celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the visitor center at 5 p.m. Guests will meet at the visitor center.
