Phyllis Dean Oldham

April 26, 2025 by Lincoln County Record

Phyllis Dean Oldham, 90, of Caliente, Nevada, passed away peacefully on the evening of April 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born December 21, 1934, in Benton, Illinois, to Charles and Evelyn Hankins, the eldest of three children. Phyllis lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Phyllis’ life was defined by her unwavering love and dedication to those around her. In her younger years, she especially enjoyed camping and fishing with her family, as well as attending church retreats with cherished friends.

Phyllis is survived by her stepsister, Brenda, and her children: Chuck, Jimi, Cindy, Tim, Holly, Philip, and Race. She also leaves behind 20 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren—each a living testament to her legacy of love.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Evelyn; her brother, Donald; sister, Beverly; and her children: Darryl, Kerri, and David.

A memorial service in Phyllis’ honor will be held for family and close friends at Holy Child Catholic Church on April 29, 2025, followed by a graveside service at approximately 1:00 p.m. at the Caliente Cemetery.

Final arrangements are under the direction of Southern Nevada Mortuary. Online condolences may be shared at www.southernnevadamortuary.com.
