Caring for a loved one can be incredibly demanding, impacting caregivers mentally, emotionally and physically. Recognizing this burden, Alamo resident Sandy Maxwell is establishing a new caregiver support group in Pahranagat Valley. 

This new group will provide a vital space for caregivers to connect with others facing similar challenges. Maxwell emphasizes that many caregivers experience feelings of isolation and simply need understanding listeners who can relate to their unique circumstances.

Everyone is welcome to attend the group, regardless of the situation. Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at the Alamo Senior Center. Flyers are posted at the credit union and the post office. For questions, please call Sandy Maxwell at (775) 271-1775.
