
Frank Davis Beard, 76, of St. George, Utah passed away June 30, 2025 in his home surrounded by his wife and children. He was born July 14, 1948 in Pomona, California to Wallace Fredrick Beard and Helen Francis Fletcher Beard. He married Linda Jean Barrett Beard in Las Vegas, Nevada December 21, 1969 and sealed in the St. George, Utah Temple March 20, 2010.
Frank grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada and graduated from Western High School. He attended Business School in Austin, Texas. He worked as a teamster driving trucks, then moved to the convention center setting up and taking down shows. He loved to draw, especially character drawings of his kids and grandkids. He loved to be on the open road riding his bike and even started his own brotherhood called “Still Crazy.” When he was a young child he was a member of the Episcopal Church until later in life he joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by his spouse, Linda Beard; children: Renay Barfield (Daniel) of St. George, UT, Erin Barrett (Jimi) of Globe, AZ, Amber Swartzbaugh (Joshua) of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Brandi Drake (Dennis) of Tucson, AZ, Frank Beard (Gabrielle) of Nampa, ID, and Brittni Almaraz (Robert) of Panaca, NV; 25+ grandchildren and 12 great-grandkids and more on the way; And many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Helen Beard and his brother Steve Beard. And many other cousins and Still Crazy Brothers to include: Harold DeMars and Mike Barrett.
The family would like to thank all the Relief Society sisters from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who have shown compassion and brought meals over and all the friends and family that have sent their support and prayers. As well as all the care-takers that gave us this extra decade with him.
The services will be held Saturday July 5, 2025 at 1pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 124 N Valley View Dr. St. George, Utah. There will be a luncheon following the services where friends and family can share stories and memories.
