The Lincoln County Community Theater invites you to step into a world of magic, music and romance as they present Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella,” opening July 16 at the Neldon C. Mathews Theater in Panaca. The production runs nightly at 7 p.m. through July 19.
Following the success of last year’s “Beauty and the Beast” and 2023’s “My Fair Lady,” the community theater group continues its tradition of bringing Broadway classics to life with heart, creativity and homegrown talent. Under the direction of Natalie Wadsworth, this summer’s production features all-original set and costume design.
Starring the lovely Giulia Robbins as Cinderella, Ken Katschke as Prince Topher and Karina Katschke (a beloved local vocalist) in the role of the Fairy Godmother, the show promises to enchant audiences of all ages. The theater group also welcomes principal actors Millie Anderson, Adam Markarian, Jake Lester and sisters Ava and Kelsea Markarian.
This isn’t the animated fairy tale you may remember. Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” blends classic charm with modern wit and whimsy. With a lush score, memorable songs like “In My Own Little Corner” and “Ten Minutes Ago” and a fresh take on the beloved story, this musical offers humor, heart and a touch of magic.
“It’s a delightful love story with a strong message about kindness, courage and transformation,” says Wadsworth. “Our cast has poured so much heart into this show, and we can’t wait to share it with the community.”
Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for kids (12 and under).
