Annual Mountain Bike Fest set to return to Lincoln County

Mountain biking enthusiasts are invited to come to Lincoln County for the 6th annual Lincoln County Mountain Bike Fest, scheduled for September 12-14. 

This year’s event will be headquartered at Cathedral Gorge State Park and will feature a weekend of mountain biking, food, and various related activities. Formally the Caliente Mountain Bike Fest, the name was updated to reflect the broader scope of trails across the county, including brand new trails completed in Pioche.

The three-day event is packed with activities designed to celebrate the mountain biking community and the Lincoln County landscape.

Friday, September 12: The festival kicks off with a Trail Stewardship Day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., where volunteers can contribute to maintaining the local trails. Participants will receive lunch, snacks, and a 30% discount on next year’s fest. The evening features a group ride, a casual BYOBBQ and a bike movie screening.

Saturday, September 13: The main day of the festival begins with registration and a vendor village at 8 a.m. Shuttles will be available throughout the day to transport riders to various trailheads, allowing them to explore the region’s renowned desert singletrack. The afternoon includes a “Taste of Lincoln County Dinner,” live music and a lively raffle with prizes. The day wraps up with log pull and bunny hop contests, followed by an afterparty.

Sunday, September 14: The final day offers more opportunities to ride, with group rides departing at 9:30 a.m. and a special ride with the event director at 10 a.m. The festival venue closes at 2 p.m., leaving attendees with plenty of time to enjoy the trails one last time.

Logistics and Accommodations

The festival headquarters at Cathedral Gorge State Park provides a central hub for all activities. Camping is available, allowing attendees to stay close to the action. Shuttles will ensure convenient access to the trails.
