The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office has released its activity report for July 2025, detailing a total of 489 calls for service across the county. The report provides a breakdown of these calls by location and type, as well as information on arrests, traffic stops, and detention center operations.
Calls for Service
Pioche recorded the highest number of calls with 113, closely followed by Alamo and Caliente, both with 112. Other locations included Panaca with 71 calls, Hiko/Rachel with 42, and other areas accounting for 39. The most common types of calls were animal problems (32), paper service (32), and medical emergencies (29). The office also responded to 12 traffic accidents, 4 domestic disturbances, and 2 assaults.

Arrests and Detention
The report notes 22 arrests were made during the month, not including contract inmates. The arrests were for a range of offenses, including home invasion, burglary, probation violation, driving under the influence, and domestic battery.

The Lincoln County Detention Center had a total inmate population of 49, with 12 being county/local inmates. The remaining inmates were held under contract, with 27 from the U.S. Marshal service and 10 from the North Las Vegas Police Department. Billing for these contracts generated $60,922.00 from the U.S. Marshal service and $7,440.00 from the North Las Vegas Police Department.
Other Activities
In addition to calls for service, the Sheriff’s Office conducted 260 traffic stops and 3 death investigations. The office also reported 2 missing person cases and responded to 11 fire incidents during the month. 30 motorist assists were performed, and officers conducted 40 property/business checks.
