Lincoln County’s community choir, Bella Voce, is preparing to begin practices on Oct. 7. New director Leslie Allen is calling on music lovers across the county to join.
This year marks a transition in leadership, as Klark Black has officially stepped down as the choir’s longtime director.

For her debut year as director, Allen has chosen songs that will be familiar to the community, with an emphasis on kid-friendly and well-known Christmas selections.
Concerts are scheduled for Dec. 12 and 13, just before Christmas. In keeping with tradition, the performances will close with a community rendition of the Hallelujah Chorus, with audience members invited to join in singing.
Organizers are encouraging those who have participated in the past to step forward this season, and newcomers are also welcomed. “If you haven’t signed up yet but thought about it, now is the time,” choir leaders shared.
Those interested in joining can contact Suzy Poulsen at (801) 389-7369 or Leslie Allen at (775) 962-3381 for more information. Organizers have noted that anyone with an interest in singing, whether experienced or brand new, is invited to take part.
