Panaca launches community Christmas decorating contest

The town of Panaca is inviting residents to brighten the season by participating in a community Christmas decorating contest. Now through Christmas, households are encouraged to transform their front yards into festive holiday displays for neighbors and visitors to enjoy.

Judges will be driving through Panaca to look for creative, cheerful and eye-catching decorations. At least three town residents will receive prizes for their displays, with winners announced during the January 12, 2026, Panaca Town Board meeting at the Panaca Town Hall.

With the contest, town board members aim to bring holiday spirit to every corner of the community and encourage families to take part in a new tradition that helps make Panaca glow during the Christmas season.
