Sharlene Tobler Gordon

Sharlene Tobler Gordon died at the age of 91 years on December 30, 2025 in Washington Utah. She was born November 22, 1934 to Archie and Itha Neilson Tobler in Washington Utah. She married Berl Antone Gordon June 25, 1960 in St George Utah.

Sharlene was the fourth child of Archie and Itha Neilson Tobler. Her childhood was filled with memories of farm life, Saturday baths in a Number 3 galvanized wash tub, and adventures at the warm springs, and her parents and grandparents’ farms herding cows, weeding vegetable rows, tending turkeys.

She graduated from Dixie College, then later earned her bachelor’s degree in education from the College of Southern Utah. Sharlene’s passion for teaching touched the lives of countless children in Kanab, Salt Lake City, Cedar City, and Lincoln County Nevada.

While in Caliente, Nevada, they raised five children: Shauna, Robert, Rachelle, Troy, and Russell. Sharlene’s life was one of service, a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother.

Sharlene is survived by her one sister, Bonita (Junius) Bennion, and 3 brothers: Darwin (Sandra) Tobler, Merlin (Gayle) Tobler, and Michael (Karen) Tobler; her loving husband, Berl; her children: Shauna (Ray) Huck, Robert (Jennifer Brown), Rachelle (Roger “Rocky” ) Rhodes, Troy (Dyan Behunin), Russell (Amy Knight); grandchildren: Melissa, Raymond Jr (RJ) Huck; Stephanie, Andrea, Elise, Rylan Gordon; Justin, Brandon, Shaun Rhodes; Collin, Tanner, Austin Gordon; Chase, Macey, Jensen Gordon, and 24 great-grandchildren.

Her sister Marilene (Don) Terry, passed just 5 days after Sharlene.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 1 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints , 446 Mangum Rd, Washington, Utah. Visitation will be Saturday, Jan 10, 2026 from 11:30 am -12:30 pm at the fore-mentioned chapel. Interment will be at the New Harmony Cemetery in New Harmony, Utah.
