Riders will return to the high desert this spring as the Eagle Valley Shootout takes place May 15-17. Hosted by Dual Sport America (DSA) in partnership with Eagle Valley Resort, the event is a two-day dual sport and adventure bike-riding experience designed for self-guided riders looking to explore Lincoln County’s rugged terrain and historic backcountry.
Routes wind through historic sites, open desert and elevated mountain terrain, offering expansive views and photo opportunities along the way. Evenings bring participants back together at Eagle Valley Resort, which serves as event headquarters.
Check-in begins Friday, May 15 at 3 p.m., with riding scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. on both Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17. The event concludes Sunday afternoon at 5 p.m. A full schedule will be emailed to participants upon completion of registration.
The Shootout features separate routes for dual sport and adventure motorcycles. Participants must bring their own properly equipped motorcycle and be capable of riding self-guided routes. Organizers will have support staff and chase bikes available throughout the weekend.
The entry fee is $250 per rider and $40 for non-riders. Registration includes two days of riding, self-guided route materials, staff chase bikes, an event T-shirt and support services such as fuel, lunch and beverages.
Accommodations are not included in the entry fee. Participants must reserve cabins or RV spaces directly through Eagle Valley Resort. Lodging information is available by calling 775-962-5293 or emailing EagleValleyResort@gmail.com.
