The Lincoln County High School softball team swept a doubleheader on the road in Henderson at GV Christian, Tuesday, April 28. The Lady Lynx took game one 14-1 and game two 16-0.
Game one was over in five innings, as the Lynx scored multiple runs in all but the second inning. It was 8-1 through three and 10-1 through four innings played.

LCHS senior Kaley Bart couldn’t miss at the plate, crushing a homer and two more singles to drive in two runs and score three times. Junior Lakyla Kulani was 3-for-3 with a double, three RBI and three runs scored, and classmate Brylie Somers was 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored.
Remington Lytle also drove in a run and scored once, but it was her performance in the circle that was more impressive. She went all five innings allowing just two hits and one earned run while striking out seven.
Game two featured an even more dominant pitching performance by Somers, who no-hit the Guardians through three innings, allowing just one walk while striking out four.
The Lynx spotted Somers with 11 runs in the first inning and another five in the second to allow her to pitch with confidence. Lytle was 3-for-3 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored. Long had two singles that drove in four runs, and she scored three times as well. Sophomore Jaitin Cole drove in a run with a double and later scored.
The Lady Lynx can secure the two seed in the Southern 2A with a split against White Pine (13-6, 4-2) in their final series of the regular season. LCHS will host the Ladycats on Senior Day at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Friday, May 1.
“A split against White Pine would put us in second. If we win both games against White Pine it puts us in first because we beat Needles in the tiebreaker game,” LCHS head coach Kylea Lytle said. “Second and third place isn’t a huge deal because you play each other the first game of Divisions no matter what. A first place spot would be great.”
