Panther Pride celebrated at PVES end-of-year barbecue

Students at Pahranagat Valley Elementary School gathered together Wednesday, May 20, for one of the school’s favorite annual traditions — the end-of-the-year barbecue celebration.

The special event brought students and staff together to celebrate a successful school year filled with accomplishments, growth, friendships and Panther Pride. Hamburgers and hot dogs were grilled and served by Principal Mike Sparrow and fifth-grade teacher Mr. Joe Harless as students enjoyed lunch outdoors with classmates and teachers.

Throughout the celebration, students were reminded of how much they are appreciated and valued by the faculty and staff. Teachers and school leaders expressed their pride in the students for their hard work, positive behavior, academic efforts and growth throughout the year.

The annual barbecue has become a meaningful tradition at PVES and reflects the strong sense of community within the school. Principal Sparrow believes it is important for students to have an opportunity to celebrate the end of the year together, enjoy time with friends before summer break and look ahead with excitement to the upcoming school year.

The event also served as a celebration of the teachers, staff and families who help make the school year successful while reinforcing the strong Panther Pride spirit that continues to thrive at Pahranagat Valley Elementary School.
