Pahranagat Valley Middle School honored its eighth-grade students during the 2026 eighth-grade graduation ceremony held Monday evening, May 18, in Alamo.
The graduation was a more intimate celebration, with invitations extended only to graduates and close adult family members as students marked the completion of their middle school years and prepared to begin high school in the fall.

The class of 2030 celebrates their 8th grade graduation on Monday, May 18.
The evening opened with a welcome from eighth-grade class president Ella Pearson, who greeted guests and fellow classmates. Mr. Tory Frehner provided the program introduction, and Ellie Crawford and Aubrey Hagfeldt performed the National Anthem.

Mr. Frehner was asked to take a picture with a few of his outgoing students during the 8th grade graduation ceremony of Monday, May 18.
Following dinner, students showcased their talents through several musical performances. Parker Luke performed “Cover Me Up” by Morgan Wallen, while Brooklyn Merritt, Ellie Crawford and Kimberly Hernandez performed “A Fine Place to Die” by Alex Warren. Charlie Lytle also performed a piano solo of “Sinners Finale” by Yu-Penn Chen.
A special slideshow presentation created by Traci Collins highlighted photos and memories from the students’ younger years through middle school, bringing smiles and laughter.
The keynote address was given by PVHS alumnus Tyrell Walch, Class of 1998, who offered encouragement and advice to the graduates as they prepare for high school and future opportunities. He highlighted the importance of the people you hang around with and the friendships you create, which often last a lifetime.
As part of the ceremony, graduates participated in photos with symbolic diplomas to commemorate the milestone and celebrate the close of their middle school chapter.
At the end of the evening, Brooke Foremaster reminded parents of incoming freshmen athletes to complete registration through the NIAA prior to the start of the school year if students plan to participate in sports and begin practices in August. She explained that waiting until the school year begins could result in delays and prevent students from practicing on time.
Special thanks during the program were extended to Meltz Pizza and Rachel Hosier for their contributions and support of the event.
The ceremony reflected both celebration and accomplishment as the Class of 2030 closed an important chapter and looked ahead toward their future at Pahranagat Valley High School.
