Families from across Lincoln County are invited to meet the people behind the badges, uniforms and emergency vehicles during the inaugural First Responder Night Out on Saturday, August 15.
Hosted by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and Cops 4 Kids, the free community event will begin at 5 p.m. at Lincoln County High School in Panaca. Organizers say the evening is designed to give residents an opportunity to interact with local first responders while learning more about the equipment, training and teamwork that help keep Lincoln County safe.

Local first responders prepare to host a free community event August 15.
The event will feature live law enforcement equipment demonstrations, K-9 demonstrations, face painting, raffle prizes and a giant inflatable slide donated to the event by Funtime Inflatables. Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore emergency response vehicles from multiple agencies and, pending emergency call availability, tour a Flight For Life helicopter.
Representatives from several local, state and federal agencies are expected to participate, including the Nevada Department of Wildlife, Nevada Highway Patrol, Bureau of Land Management, Lincoln County Emergency Management, local fire departments and EMS personnel.
A free hot dog dinner, provided by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Cops 4 Kids program, will be available for attendees throughout the evening.
Organizers hope the event will provide families with a fun and educational experience while strengthening relationships between the community and the first responders who serve Lincoln County every day.
First Responder Night Out is free and open to the public. Community members of all ages are encouraged to attend.
