Quail Springs Fire grows to 2,000 acres in Lincoln County on Sunday morning

The Quail Springs Fire in Lincoln County, near the Nevada Test Site, has grown to an estimated 4,500 acres and is 0% contained, according to the Nevada Wildfire Information updates issued Sunday evening. The fire was first reported Saturday morning, July 25, and was initially estimated at eight acres. A large smoke column from the fire was visible across portions of the county Sunday.
