The Pahranagat Valley High School football team got the 2026 season off to a good start with a 42-0 shutout at Indian Springs on Friday, Aug. 14. With the victory, the Panthers started the league schedule 1-0 in the Southern 1A in the lone league game scheduled for the first week of the season.
“Top returners are Lance Back, Max Pearson, Trueitt Staley, Braxten Tsosie and Rex Marshall. Newcomers would be Bronson Fiatoa and Colton Williams,” informed PVHS head coach Brett Hansen.
Fiatoa, the junior quarterback, led the Panthers with 147 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries. He completed two of four passes for 100 yards and a touchdown as well.
Marshall started his senior year with 80 yards rushing and a touchdown on nine carries and had one catch for 93 yards and a touchdown. Sophomore Lane Spencer also found the end zone and averaged five yards per carry.
“The league should be competitive. There will be some pretty tough teams,” Hansen said. “Our expectations don’t really change—just look to get better every chance we can.”
