The Lincoln County girls won their first state softball championship since 1999 with a thrilling double-header win over White Pine in Reno last Saturday. Lincoln County girls softball maintained their lead in the Division III Southern League on Tuesday as Aspen Wilkin tossed a five-inning one-hitter in the opener, and Chelsea Lloyd followed with a five-inning one-hitter in the nightcap as the Lady Lynx swept the second place Mountain View Saints.
